Responsibilities include patient rooming, updating medical histories, documenting visit details, and assisting with various dermatological procedures such as biopsies, surgeries, and skin treatments.\u0026lt;/p\u0026gt;\n\u0026lt;p\u0026gt;\u0026lt;strong\u0026gt;Essential Functions:\u0026lt;/strong\u0026gt;\u0026lt;/p\u0026gt;\n\u0026lt;p\u0026gt;To perform effectively in this role, the candidate must fulfill the following duties with or without reasonable accommodations:\u0026lt;/p\u0026gt;\n\u0026lt;ul\u0026gt;\n\u0026lt;li\u0026gt;Collaborate with a team to manage an average patient volume of up to 40 patients daily.\u0026lt;/li\u0026gt;\n\u0026lt;li\u0026gt;Document patient histories, including history of present illness (HPI), medical, surgical, and family history, medications, and allergies.\u0026lt;/li\u0026gt;\n\u0026lt;li\u0026gt;Prepare and assist with dermatological and cosmetic procedures, including ED\u0026amp;amp;Cs, biopsies (shave and punch), ILK, I\u0026amp;amp;D, Botox, laser treatments, excisions, and other surgical interventions.\u0026lt;/li\u0026gt;\n\u0026lt;li\u0026gt;Administer local anesthesia and remove sutures as directed.\u0026lt;/li\u0026gt;\n\u0026lt;li\u0026gt;Ensure strict adherence to sterile techniques and infection control practices.\u0026lt;/li\u0026gt;\n\u0026lt;li\u0026gt;Perform scribing responsibilities, including inputting templates and chart notes as directed by physicians.\u0026lt;/li\u0026gt;\n\u0026lt;li\u0026gt;Process prescription refills and manage prior authorizations.\u0026lt;/li\u0026gt;\n\u0026lt;li\u0026gt;Log pathology samples and coordinate with appropriate laboratories.\u0026lt;/li\u0026gt;\n\u0026lt;li\u0026gt;Operate specialized equipment such as Narrowband UVB and photodynamic therapy units.\u0026lt;/li\u0026gt;\n\u0026lt;li\u0026gt;Maintain and replenish liquid nitrogen containers.\u0026lt;/li\u0026gt;\n\u0026lt;li\u0026gt;Clean and stock examination rooms and supply areas.\u0026lt;/li\u0026gt;\n\u0026lt;li\u0026gt;Ensure adherence to organizational infection control protocols.\u0026lt;/li\u0026gt;\n\u0026lt;li\u0026gt;Maintain reliable and consistent attendance.\u0026lt;/li\u0026gt;\n\u0026lt;li\u0026gt;Perform other duties as assigned by the supervising physician or department lead.\u0026lt;/li\u0026gt;\n\u0026lt;/ul\u0026gt;\n\u0026lt;p\u0026gt;\u0026lt;strong\u0026gt;Knowledge, Skills, \u0026amp;amp; Responsibilities:\u0026lt;/strong\u0026gt;\u0026lt;/p\u0026gt;\n\u0026lt;ul\u0026gt;\n\u0026lt;li\u0026gt;High School Diploma or GED required.\u0026lt;/li\u0026gt;\n\u0026lt;li\u0026gt;0–3 years of medical assistant experience, preferably in dermatology.\u0026lt;/li\u0026gt;\n\u0026lt;li\u0026gt;Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.\u0026lt;/li\u0026gt;\n\u0026lt;li\u0026gt;Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate patient records.\u0026lt;/li\u0026gt;\n\u0026lt;li\u0026gt;Effective communication and teamwork skills.\u0026lt;/li\u0026gt;\n\u0026lt;/ul\u0026gt;\n\u0026lt;p\u0026gt;This role requires a proactive, dependable, and detail-oriented individual with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic healthcare environment.
