The Team:

This role will be part of a growing Solution Management organization, reporting to the VP of Solution Management. You will interact with internal stakeholders, external partners and customers. Internal teams include product management, engineering, product marketing and sales. This position will work and communicate regularly with the leadership team and critical stakeholders.

Be a Solution Strategist and Champion Growth in Process Intelligence!

As a Solution Strategist, you won't just identify opportunities - you'll own them. You'll be the driving force behind uncovering hidden opportunities (white spaces) within the Process Intelligence market and developing tangible strategies to exploit them for Celonis.

This role needs a strategist willing to go beyond paperwork. Someone who wants to bring strategy to execution. You'll leverage your deep understanding of target personas (CIO, CFO, Enterprise Architect, Integration Architect, Software Developer, Startup Founder, etc.) to identify and articulate white space areas that align with both Celonis’ company vision and unmet customer needs. A background in software development is a plus, as you'll need a solid grasp of SaaS architectures and the ability to translate business needs and opportunities into actionable technical solutions.

Here's where you'll truly own the process:

  • Lead research to identify gaps in the current landscape and shape white space definitions.
  • Deep dive into customer needs to define and generalize clear problem statements and build hypotheses for new solutions. You'll own the problem from definition to solution hypothesis.
  • Design solution proposals with a strong technical foundation, demonstrating your understanding of SaaS development principles.
  • Facilitate & Drive collaboration with cross-functional teams (Sales, Product, Engineering, R&D) to bring white space solutions to life.
  • Present opportunities and proposals to a Senior Audience representing all functions of the Company
  • Identify relevant market participants as potential partners or M&A targets

The work you’ll do:

  • Lead market research: Conduct in-depth research to identify gaps in the current Process Intelligence landscape. This involves analyzing market trends, competitor solutions, and customer pain points.
  • Champion white spaces: Based on your research, identify promising white space opportunities that align with the company vision and have the potential for high impact. You'll present your findings and build buy-in from stakeholders.
  • Own the problem: Conduct user interviews and workshops to understand the specific challenges faced by Process Intelligence personas (IT departments, CoEs, Applied AI teams, Automation, Application owners, Process Analysis, etc.).
  • Define the problem statement: Clearly articulate the core problem your white space solution will address. This involves turning customer insights into actionable problem statements.
  • Build hypotheses: Develop clear hypotheses for how your proposed solution will solve the identified customer problem.
  • Craft the solution proposal: Leveraging your technical expertise (ideally with an engineering background), design a solution proposal with a strong technical foundation. This includes outlining the functionalities, architecture, and feasibility of the proposed solution.
  • Translate business needs: Bridge the gap between business needs and technical requirements. You'll translate the problem statement and functionalities into clear technical specifications that the engineering team can understand and implement.
  • Spearhead cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams to bring your white space solution to life. This involves effective communication, negotiation, and driving consensus among stakeholders.
  • Drive the white space funnel: Manage the entire white space development process, ensuring proper governance and adherence to timelines.

Throughout this journey, you'll be empowered to take ownership, make decisions, and drive results. We're looking for a passionate leader who thrives in an environment that demands initiative and accountability.

The qualifications you need:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in technical roles as SI Consultant, Software Developer and Product Management or Software Architecture in a B2B Software company, 
  • Proven ability to own and drive initiatives, with a track record of technical problem-solving 
  • Excellent analytical and research skills, transforming insights into actionable strategies.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to lead discussions and build consensus with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven skills in presenting to an executive audience
  • A fire for innovation and a desire to push boundaries within the Process Intelligence category.
  • Must have strong business and technical acumen gained through professional experience as a self-starter with proven ability to think ahead, engage proactively, and take initiative
  • Working knowledge of analytics, process mining, or enterprise process management is preferred
