The Team:

In our AR team at Celonis, we prioritize the timely collection of payments, fostering client relationships, and maintaining financial integrity. Much like Celonis’ Execution Applications tailored for specific business needs, we optimize our daily operations. Automation through Action Flows is key to driving value realization, mirroring our commitment to efficiency and excellence.

The Role:

As an AI Engineer specializing in predictive and general AI use cases within the Finance domain, with an added dimension of Copilot development / integration, you will play a crucial role in developing cutting-edge solutions that combine the power of artificial intelligence with the assistance of language model technologies like Copilot. Your responsibilities will encompass identifying, designing, and implementing AI-driven solutions that leverage Copilot's capabilities to enhance code generation, streamline development workflows, and accelerate innovation in Finance applications. By harnessing the collective intelligence of human expertise and machine intelligence, you will contribute to the advancement of intelligent automation and decision support systems, empowering financial institutions to navigate complex challenges with agility and efficiency.

The work you’ll do:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize use cases for predictive and general AI applications in the Finance domain, with a focus on integrating Copilot to augment development processes and enhance productivity.
  • Research, design, and develop AI models and algorithms tailored to address specific business challenges in Finance, leveraging Copilot's natural language understanding capabilities to assist in code generation, debugging, and documentation tasks.
  • Work closely with software engineers, data scientists, and domain experts to integrate Copilot into existing development environments and workflows, providing guidance on best practices, customization options, and potential use cases for maximizing its utility.
  • Explore innovative ways to leverage Copilot for automating repetitive tasks, accelerating prototyping efforts, and improving code quality, while maintaining a strong emphasis on security, compliance, and scalability.
  • Collaborate with the Copilot team to provide feedback, contribute to product enhancements, and participate in pilot programs or beta testing initiatives aimed at shaping the future of AI-assisted development tools.
  • Evaluate the performance of Copilot-integrated solutions in real-world scenarios, monitoring key metrics related to productivity, code quality, and developer satisfaction, and iterating on improvements to optimize outcomes over time.
  • Stay abreast of advancements in AI research, natural language processing techniques, and emerging technologies related to Copilot and similar language model platforms, incorporating relevant insights into solution development and strategic planning.
  • Actively contribute to a culture of innovation, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning within the AI engineering team, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment for personal and professional growth.

The qualifications you need:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field; advanced degrees and certifications in AI/ML are preferred.
  • Proven experience in developing AI solutions for Finance applications, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful use cases in predictive modeling, natural language processing, computer vision, or related domains.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java, as well as libraries/frameworks commonly used in AI/ML development (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
  • Solid understanding of statistical analysis, machine learning algorithms, and data visualization techniques, with the ability to translate complex concepts into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with data management principles, including data wrangling, feature engineering, and model deployment, preferably in cloud-based environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and attention to detail, with a track record of delivering high-quality solutions under tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse teams and influence decision-making processes through data-driven recommendations.
  • Passion for innovation, curiosity to explore new technologies, and commitment to continuous self-improvement in the field of AI engineering and Finance.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in leveraging language model technologies like Copilot or similar AI-powered code generation tools, with a strong understanding of their capabilities, limitations, and potential applications in software development.
  • Experience in integrating Copilot into development workflows using popular version control systems (e.g., GitHub, GitLab), integrated development environments (IDEs), and other relevant tools and platforms commonly used in software engineering.
  • Familiarity with software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, DevOps) and best practices for collaborative coding, code review, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, with a focus on optimizing efficiency and maintaining code quality standards.
  • Passion for exploring the intersection of artificial intelligence, natural language processing, and software engineering, with a keen interest in leveraging emerging technologies to drive innovation and solve complex problems in the Finance domain.

If you are enthusiastic about leveraging AI to revolutionize the Finance industry and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, we encourage you to join our team and make a meaningful impact on the future of financial services.
